FEP encapsulated silicone camlock gaskets are designed to provide reliable sealing in cam and groove hose couplings where both chemical resistance and sealing performance are essential. The gasket consists of a resilient silicone (VMQ) core fully encapsulated within a seamless FEP fluoropolymer jacket.

The FEP outer layer provides outstanding resistance to almost all industrial chemicals, solvents and cleaning agents, while the silicone core delivers the elasticity needed to maintain an effective seal under compression. This combination overcomes many of the limitations of both conventional elastomer gaskets and solid PTFE seals, helping to reduce leakage caused by chemical attack or PTFE cold flow.

Silicone core camlock gaskets offer the widest operating temperature range within the encapsulated range, making them particularly suitable for applications involving very low temperatures. Their smooth, non-stick FEP surface also helps minimise product contamination and makes cleaning easier.
