ROHS - Key Benefits of PTFE O-Rings:
- Chemical Resistance
High-Temperature Stability
Low-Temperature Flexibility
Low Compression Set
Long-Term Durability
High Mechanical Strength - Chemical Resistance:
- PTFE O-Rings offer exceptional resistance to oils, fuels, and a wide range of hydrocarbons.
Outstanding protection against aggressive chemicals, including acids, alkalis, solvents, and a variety of industrial chemicals.
Superior performance in high-temperature environments, with excellent resistance to water, steam, and outdoor conditions.
Ideal for applications requiring long-term exposure to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, and physically demanding conditions. - Not Compatible With:
- Molten alkali metals such as sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium, and francium can react with PTFE, leading to degradation.
Fluorine gas, a highly reactive element, can attack PTFE.
Certain fluorine compounds and complexes, especially at elevated temperatures and pressures, can also cause deterioration.
While PTFE is generally resistant to most oxidizing agents, extremely strong ones, such as chlorine trifluoride, can potentially damage it. - Key Applications:
- Automotive
Chemical Processing
Oil & Gas
Pharmaceuticals
Food & Beverage (especially where contamination must be avoided)
Medical Devices (due to their non-toxic properties)
