FKM (Viton®) is suitable for use with mineral oils, ASTM Oil No 1, IRM 902 and IRM 903. Also resistant to silicone oil, mineral oil, greases and petrol (gasoline). It has very good ozone, weather and aging resistance. It is also resistant to aliphatic hydrocarbons such as butane, propane and natural gas. Not recommended for use with glycol based brake fluid, ammonia gas, amines, alkalis, superheated steam and low molecular weight organic acids.
