Silicone core inside an FEP jacket is a high-performance o-ring known for its excellent resistance to oils, fuels, acids, alkalis and indutrial chemicals.
FEP Encapsulated Silicone is a high-performance sealing material that combines the excellent elasticity and temperature stability of silicone with the chemical resistance and inertness of FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene). This unique combination makes it ideal for applications that require exceptional sealing performance in extreme environments because the elastomer core assists with the slow recovery of the FEP jacket. FEP encapsulation enhances silicone's properties, offering improved chemical resistance, high-temperature stability, and long-term durability, while maintaining the flexibility and low compression set characteristics that silicone is known for.

- Molten alkali metals: Sodium, potassium, and lithium in their molten state can react with FEP.
Fluorine: Elemental fluorine and fluorine-based compounds like chlorine trifluoride are highly reactive and can attack FEP.
Strong oxidizing agents: While FEP is generally resistant to most oxidizing agents, extremely strong oxidizing agents like concentrated hydrogen peroxide (90%) can degrade it over time, especially at elevated temperatures. - Key Applications:
